What is the proper attire for Niagara Falls/Other parts of Canada in June?

Hello, I'll be going to Canada mid-June, and I was wondering what would be the proper clothing to wear to Niagara Falls, other parts of Canada, and maybe New York? Keep in mind I do NOT want to look like a tourist:). Thank you soooo much.
